Snoring is a dreadful nuisance and can place a great strain on the happiest of relationships, because the snorer can’t hear himself snoring. Few people realise that snoring also places a strain on the heart and lungs and may shorten the life of the snorer. When a person snores the soft palate loses its tone and vibrates – but by relaxing deeply the thought can be put into the subconscious mind that the palate will keep its tone the whole time. When Dr Gibson’s wife started to wake him up because he disturbed her sleep by snoring, he practised deep relaxation and in little over a month he had stopped snoring. This treatment teaches you the same technique.
How To Stop Snoring
IT IS INADVISABLE TO PLAY THIS RECORDING WHILE DRIVING, OPERATING MACHINERY OR EQUIPMENT OF ANY KIND OR WHILE ENGAGED IN ANY OTHER POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY.
Each recording should be played when you are sitting comfortably, somewhere free from any chance of disturbance. If you fall asleep while it is playing, you should start again, preferably sitting up. We recommend that you practise Deep Relaxation once or twice each day until you achieve a feeling of release. The recording should then be put aside for future use as a ‘booster’ if and when required.
